Web Graphics I

I’ve taught using this book and highly recommend it as a reference. Its focus is more on code than graphics, but it offers a good overview of Typography and CSS as well as file formats:

Web Design in a Nutshell, Third Edition, $34.99
by Jennifer Niederst Robbins

This is by the same author, but more graphic design oriented:

Learning Web Design, Third Edition, $44.99
by Jennifer Niederst Robbins

This is another book I evaluated that’s very graphic design oriented:

The Principles of Beautiful Web Design, $39.95
By Jason Beaird

All three books are published by O’Reilly. The first two are available using O’Reilly’s Safari Books Online.

There are thousands of graphics tutorials on the web and this particular site provides an endless stream of new material that I learn from every day:
